Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about the product, shipping and billing.
How long does the shipping take?
Delivery times range between 4 to 18 business days (excluding weekends and holidays). Please keep in mind that this is only the shipping period and doesn’t include the 3–4 days needed to process your order, including Quality Control (QC) photos. Once your package is shipped, we are not responsible for delays, as it is out of our control. Occasionally, packages experience delays in customs clearance depending on the country, which is also beyond our influence.
Which shipping carriers do you use?
Our choice of shipping carrier depends on the destination. We generally use EMS, FedEx, DHL, China Airmail, and Special Airmail. For smaller items, such as parts or straps, we may use Registered Airmail. Most orders are shipped via Express Courier with tracking information provided. To minimize customs scrutiny, we often declare items as low-value gifts to help reduce potential taxes and duties. However, please be aware that any customs charges or taxes are determined by the receiving country’s authorities and are not within our control.
Note: For packages sent via Hong Kong Airmail, items are routed through Hong Kong as it is often a safer route, avoiding many of the customs inspections typically applied to packages coming directly from China. With DHL, packages also exit from Hong Kong. Initially, we’ll send you an internal DHL reference number along with your QC photos; this tracking code may not be trackable on the official DHL website. Once the package officially departs from Hong Kong, DHL will issue a standard tracking number that is viewable online.
What should I do if my package is lost or stolen?
In the event that your package goes missing or items are stolen, we cannot be held liable. However, please reach out to us by email immediately, and we’ll work with you to find a solution. Typically, we may arrange a replacement shipment with a 50% payment. If you receive a package that seems empty or suspiciously light, DO NOT SIGN for it. Inform the delivery person of the issue and report it to their management. Also, notify us by email so we can assist with the follow-up.
What if my watch arrives damaged?
You have a 24–48 hour window after delivery to report any issues with your watch. If we don’t hear from you within 48 hours, we’ll assume that you’re satisfied with the order and have no concerns. Please refer to our Warranties & Returns section below for further details on our policies.

When you have your watch

Please, review the operaration and care instructions for your watch before handling it to enjoy a better user experience.
Water resistance/ Waterproofing
Though certain watches have a level of water resistance, InTimeWatches advises keeping your watch as far from water as possible. Always double-check that the crown is securely screwed in to prevent moisture from entering. Each watch undergoes a thorough inspection to ensure it's in perfect working order before it leaves us.Please avoid wearing your watch while swimming or showering to prevent unintentional water exposure. At InTimeWatches, we cannot take responsibility if accidental exposure causes water to enter the watch.

IMPORTANT: InTimeWatches DOES NOT COVER ANY DAMAGE CAUSED BY WATER, EVEN IF THE WATCH IS FACTORY WATERPROOFED. KEEP YOUR WATCH AWAY FROM WATER AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE!

ADDITIONAL DETAILS ON WATER RESISTANCEA water-resistant watch can handle minimal moisture, such as light splashes when washing hands. Some water-resistant watches can endure submersion, with the level of resistance noted on the watch. This resistance level is often marked in “atmospheres” (ATM) or “bar-tested,” with each ATM equaling 10 meters of static water pressure. Watches from InTimeWatches marked as water-resistant are suitable for handling only minor moisture exposure – they are NOT designed for swimming, showering, or any kind of immersion.

UNLESS LABELED WATERPROOF, A WATCH SHOULD NEVER BE SUBMERGED IN WATER. Note: ALL CHRONOGRAPH watches, even if waterproof, MUST NOT BE USED UNDERWATER. Their pushers allow moisture in when pressed, which is also true for authentic timepieces!
What should I do first when I receive my watch?
When your watch arrives, wind it to ensure full power. During transit, it may lose energy. Wind the crown clockwise for about 15–20 full turns. If your watch is battery-operated, there’s no need to wind it. If your watch has a screw-down crown, loosen it by turning it counterclockwise, then wind it as described. To finish, screw the crown in tightly by pushing it inward while turning clockwise. This will start the watch ticking.
My automatic watch has stopped. Why?
If your automatic watch has stopped, it has likely run out of stored energy. Automatic watches rely on wrist movement to keep them running. If not worn for a while, they stop when the energy depletes. Wind it by turning the crown clockwise 10–12 times to start it up again. For watches with a crown that sets the date or day, gently pull the crown to the first position to adjust them. Most watches allow time adjustments by pulling the crown to the second position. If it’s a screw-down crown, unscrew it first, then follow the instructions above to adjust the date, day, and time.
How do I set the time?
For watches with screw-down crowns, unscrew the crown in a counterclockwise motion. Then, gently pull it out. To do this, place two fingers on the crown and pull softly until you feel a “click.” You can now set the time by rotating the crown counterclockwise. When the correct time is set, push the crown in and screw it tightly clockwise.
How do I adjust GMT and local time?
GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) indicates dual time zones, usually on a 24-hour format. You’ll have local hour and minute hands and a separate GMT hand, often in a different color. To set the times:Unscrew the crown softly and slowly, using minimal force. There are two steps for adjusting: the first is for the GMT, and the second is for local time.Pull the crown to the first position to set the GMT and date, turning clockwise or counterclockwise as needed. Pull it further to adjust local time.Set the local time before adjusting the GMT. Adjusting local time will also adjust the GMT time automatically.
How do I change the date on my watch?
If your watch has a date function, you may need to pull out the crown. For watches with screw-down crowns, turn the crown counterclockwise until it loosens. Pull the crown gently to avoid damaging the stem. There are two positions: the first adjusts the date, and the second adjusts the time. Turn in one direction to change the date. After setting, push the crown in and turn clockwise to secure.
What is a screw-down crown, and hoes does it differ?
A screw-down crown securely locks into the watch case when turned clockwise. It’s common in many watches, especially sport watches, to protect against water and dust. To wind the watch or adjust it, unscrew the crown counterclockwise until it comes out slightly. Wind or set the watch, then push and screw it back tightly. With non-screw crowns, there’s no need to unscrew – simply pull and adjust.
What is a recessed pusher, and how does it differ from standard pushers?
Recessed pushers are designed to sit inside the case, primarily for aesthetic reasons and space-saving. They’re typically used for setting the date or other secondary features. To operate, use a pen to press the pusher fully. Halfway pressing may cause partial changes, which could damage internal mechanics.
How do I operate a chronograph on a Daytona?
Rolex Daytona watches feature protective screw locks on chronograph pushers. When using the chronograph, unwind the screw lock to the level of the pusher button, then press firmly. Pressing partway can interrupt the function and cause mechanical issues.
What is a tachymeter, and how is it used?
A tachymeter is a scale often found on sports watches to measure speed. In tandem with the second hand, it can calculate speed over a set distance. For example, timing a car between two points on a highway allows you to read its speed from the tachymeter scale.
